A good hike on a hot and humid summer day requires preferably a body of water near by and lots of shade. Mason’s Neck supplies both and despite the temperatures soaring, we thoroughly enjoyed it!

On a recent trip down to the South, we made a stop at Davidson, North Carolina. This small town located on Lake Norman is centered around its well known college from which it got its name.
