Lunch break stroll – Lincoln Memorial, Washington, DC

20161018_132931I should consider myself lucky for having an opportunity to take a nice leisurely lunch break stroll and get to enjoy such incredible views in Washington, DC.
Just a few minutes from my work in downtown DC, is one of the three biggest, most popular Washington landmarks – Lincoln Memorial. Built in 1922 to honor America’s 16th president Abraham Lincoln, the Monument is ranked 7th on the list of America’s favorite architecture by the Architectural Society of the U.S. Not only is it grand, built in a shape of Greek temple, but the adjoining reflecting pool, tree-shaded paths along it and the views of the Washington monument and the Capitol, make this place breathtaking.
Let’s take a stroll on this sunny late October day.

Fall is here – leaves are turning. These were probably last of the warm, sunny, Fall days. Have a great weekend!
