Lunch break stroll – Lincoln Memorial, Washington, DC

20161018_132931I should consider myself lucky for having an opportunity to take a nice leisurely lunch break stroll and get to enjoy such incredible views in Washington, DC.
Just a few minutes from my work in downtown DC, is one of the three biggest, most popular Washington landmarks – Lincoln Memorial. Built in 1922 to honor America’s 16th president Abraham Lincoln,┬áthe Monument is ranked 7th on the list of America’s favorite architecture by the Architectural Society of the U.S. Not only is it grand, built in a shape of Greek temple, but the adjoining reflecting pool, tree-shaded paths along it and the views of the Washington monument and the Capitol, make this place breathtaking.
Let’s take a stroll on this sunny late October day.

Fall is here – leaves are turning. These were probably last of the warm, sunny, Fall days. Have a great weekend!
