We’ve been lucky with a rather mild winter this year in our neck of the woods (shhh, don’t let my boys know since they have been quite disappointed by the lack of snow sledding opportunities). So when the weatherman announced a sunny and unusually warm holiday (President’s Day) weekend, we headed to a beach at the Salty Point State Park, 45 minute drive away from Washington, DC.
People strolled, many with dogs or small children who brought their sand-digging equipment. An artist had her easel up and was painting the landscape. Our boys seemed mostly amused watching flocks of jelly fish in the shallow water, climbing the rocks and picking up small shells. I took pictures – you know those soul food ones that promote well-being. I am sharing some with you, wishing you a great week!
