I have been MIA for the past couple of weeks. Between April rains, start of the spring soccer and baseball seasons for my boys and out-of-town guests, I have not had a chance to do one of my favorite things – blog. I have few stories up my sleeve but wanted to start with the one that combines two of my favorite things: friendship and design. So here we go.
On a recent sunny and warm Saturday, I joined my good friend (with whom I share love for Istra, cooking, Apperol spritz, thrift shopping, design….) for a stylish yard sale at their home. She did a wonderful job of setting the display tables outside: colorful table cloths, sun umbrella, radio in the background and a nice mishmash of items (from pieces of kitchen ware, clothing, to serving dishes, lamps, shoes, tools.. [hair trimmer anyone?]…) .
We ended up selling few items. Not a whole lot. But more importantly, we had good time catching up, drinking coffee and eating delicious mixed berries cake that my friend baked, enjoying the warm weather and snapping pictures of her stylish home interior. Which brings me to the second part of this blog post (and the very first photo at the top of the blog post). Don’t you love that Murano glass chandelier?
I am a sucker for nice interiors – you know those that are a true reflection of owners’ tastes, likes and vibes. My friend’s home is “hygge” in true sense: comfortable, atmospheric and creative. Like mine, I guess it would come under boho meets eclectic meets modern. I am so glad she let me take few pictures and share them with you.
So here we go…
I hope you enjoyed the story and maybe got some new home design ideas. Did I mention that the food in this house is seriously amazing. Every time! Wishing you a wonderful rest of the week.
